By Praying for Peace and Declaring Peace in our own lives, we work with God in a joint venture, if you will, to try to bring about God’s peace, balance and order. Throughout history this kind of venture has worked well: God asked David to bring together the 12 tribes and he would solidify and bless the Nation of Israel, and it was so. Jesus continued the pattern. He tells us, if we believe, he will heal. And he asked Paul to go and teach, and when he did, The Son blessed him with perseverance, enlightenment and compassion.
When warned of impending chaos by visionaries in the 20th century, we prayed for peace and tried to change our ways, then overcame Fascism, the Nazi’s and Communism. Today, visionaries in Medjugorje and elsewhere are telling us to pray for peace and change our ways. We believe prayer works. Please join us in this prayer and declaration on Sunday, March 18, 2007, and if you can, on First Sundays.
