About an hour’s drive outside Omaha, this center can take groups of ___ or more, or one may attend one of the Life of a Monk Weekend for men, married or single, Guided Retreats for a week or more or Enneagram Spirituality Workshops. They also sponsor workshops on Women in the Bible, the Wisdom of Children and Retreats for Divorced or Widowed People. The food is first rate, the rooms are above average and walking around the grounds lifts one above the fray of life. And the fees are reasonable.

St. Anselm’s is on the outskirts of town amidst gentle, rolling hills. As are most Benedictine Abbeys, it is serene and peaceful, and one may walk the grounds in absolute release and freedom, an unexpected treat from the busy-ness of the Nation’s Capitol. They offer retreats and give spiritual direction. Guests are welcome at the daily prayers with the monks.
